So I finally sat down and tried drawing for the first time in almost ten years today. I first set out to draw a dog, thinking if it turned out good enough I'd give it to a friend....but well....that was horribly frustrating and I just couldn't get it to even look close to what I wanted. So I gave up on that and started on a unicorn. I used to draw horses and unicorns a lot so I thought maybe I should do something I was more familiar with. That went a little easier. It still took a lot of erasing and trying again though. I feel like I have to teach myself all over again how to do this stuff. I'm hoping if I stick with it I can get back to the level I was at my senior year in HS (I graduated back in 2000) and then from there hopefully advance my skill. I posted the result of today's little drawing session, "Black Unicorn". It's okay. I'm not totally in love with it but for a first attempt in so many years it's alright.
